Today, a really important piece of information for all PF Co holders in the UK:

So this is one which all PF Co holders in the UK should have been aware of. We have been as PFC holders exempt from the requirement to have a flier ID, so that’s. The the UK drone registration scheme that d’amour is, if you want to call it that it’s official name and we’ve been exempt from having to do the flier ID element of that because we have proved Our competency in another way I we’ve, got a commission for commercial operation and done the training.
We still need to make sure, though, that we have got an operator ID and we are seeing lots of people coming through who are renewing their operations. Manuals and things like that who aren’t students of ours are hasten to add, but they’re coming through from other companies and they weren’t aware of this at all.
So if you haven’t got this already. If you don’t know what I’m on about. I’ll drop a link to it down below. We have a video which walks you through it. How to register as a drone operator? Yes, you ‘ll have to pay the nine pounds a year, but as a PFC or holder, you are exempt from the requirement for a flier ID. However, what is important to understand is that exemption issued by the CAA on the 19th of October 2019.
I think it was expires on the 4th of July 2020. It has now expired, so let’s, dive on in and take a look at the new exemption and a really important piece of information that you need to be aware of. So here is the exemption that we are looking at, as I say that this is the thing that means that as a PFO holder, if your PFC o is valid in the UK, you don’t have to complete the fire ID test.

However, what is really really important is that you have your operator ID, and that needs to be on your drone somewhere, which is visible in accordance with the rules surrounding that, but also that you carry a copy of this exemption with you at all times and that I think is one of the key pieces of information which most people have missed.

The only thing that you or is the thing that you need to make sure that you do to make sure that you are in operating accordance with the exemption now exemption 13.

So there we go. Hopefully, you know not new to you at all and something that you already aware of. If you weren’t, you are now go and print that out and carry it with you at all times. Whilst you’re flying and operating commercially, because if you don’t have that with you.
Quite rightly, you could be challenged and asked to show to the authorities upon request your flyer ID and if you don’t have that and you’ve, not got the exemption with you. Then you could find yourself as possible that at the time which isn’t what we want, let’s.
Just make things simple, keep it flowing nicely. You know have that with you, be competent, be professional and make sure you ‘ Ve got the required documents with you just on that, and I am seen a lot of people coming through at the moment.
